So I decided to hike to Machu Picchu via an amazing company called Mountain Lodges of Peru. Highly recommend it. Started in Cuzco and ended in Aguas Calientes. We hiked via the Salkantay Trail which is much less frequented (I only saw maybe 6 other people outside our group) and stopped every night at one of their luxurious lodges (yes, they had hot tubs). The food was the most diverse and delicious I've ever had (minus the guinea pig) and the Peruvian people are so welcoming and hospitable. Check out more picks below.
